ICIPROD-2017

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DME), AFU, Faridabad, is going to organize a conference titled ‘International Conference on Innovative Product Design & Development (ICIPROD-2017)’ on April 20, 2017 to be held at Al-Falah University, Faridabad (Haryana).

The conference is expected to bring together from all over the country the state-of-the-art practitioners, engineers, researchers, and educationists who are already engaged in researches in the different areas of mechanical engineering.

The department has been organizing such events since many years so as to present the most recent trends and developments in various areas of mechanical engineering viz., Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Machine Design, Instrumentation, and so on.

The researchers and faculty members in different institutes/organizations are encouraged to participate in ICIPROD-2017, through their valuable research contributions. The conference proceedings containing refereed papers would be published and circulated as per our university norms. The selected papers/abstracts would be published in ICIPROD2017 conference proceedings, International Journal of Scientific & Engineering Research (IJSER, USA), and Invertis Journal of Renewable Energy, India.

HGJICETCSIT-2016

November, 3rd 2016 Al-Falah University, Department of Computer Science & Engineering Organized International Conference titled, “Haryana Golden Jubilee International Conference on Emerging Trends in Computer Science & Information Technology” (HGJICETCSIT-2016) on 03rd November, 2016. The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for the International community to exchange ideas and will provide a common platform to support technical ideologies.

Conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Kum Kum Dewan (Vice Chancellor, NIU).

During the conference, Dr. Mansaf Alam, Jamia Millia Islamia enlightened the conference with their technical expertise and stressed on the importance of this International National Conference and gave valuable thoughts to young scientists & researchers about new & upcoming technologies.

National Seminar on “Solid State Lighting”

Aug 6-7 , 2015

The presence of very renowned and emeritus scientists graced the inaugural ceremony held in the Seminar Room of the Al-Falah University at 10:00 am on Aug 6, 2015.

Prof Anil Kumar, The Vice Chancellor welcomed the distinguished guests . Prof Zahid Husain Zaidi (Ex Vice Chancellor, MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareily) and Advisor to AFU, gave the introductory remarks on the Seminar and introduced to the audience the concept behind it. He appreciated the University’s efforts in organizing the Seminar .

The Chief Guest for the day was Prof Krishan Lal, President, The Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA), who gave the inaugural address to the audience. He appreciated UNESCO’s efforts in spreading awareness on light and photonics and also discussed the future of technological developments that would be light based. UNESCO representative , Dr Mitrasen Bhikajee, Head of Science Sector, UNESCO cluster office for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka  provided very vital information on UNESCO’s initiatives in the various fields and its aim on focusing on the development of Optics, Prof Zahid Husain Khan ,UNESCO-National  Focal Point  for India for IYL 2015, New Delhi spoke about the International year of Light and Light based technologies (IYL-2015) and appreciated Al-Falah’s efforts in organizing the Seminar to mark it.

Prof Kehar Singh, Emeritus, IIT Delhi, Prof R. M. Mehra, H.O.D, Department of Electronics and Communications engineering, Sharda University, Prof Mohd Zulfequar, H.O.D, Deptt of Physics, Jamia Millia Islamia, delivered invited lectures. Prof Syed Sajjad Mehdi, Emeritus, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi chaired the technical session.

Mr M. B. Mughal, The Registrar, Prof Shahjahan, Dean Student Welfare, A.F.U. also graced the event by their presence,  The Vote of thanks were extended by Dr Shagufta B. Husain –the Convener and a photographic session concluded the inaugural ceremony.

ICETCSIT-2015

Faridabad ,28th   April Al-Falah University, Department of Computer science & engineering organized 3rd international  conference on “Emerging Trends In Computer Science & Information Technology” on 28th April,  2015. The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for the national community to exchange ideas and will provide a common platform to support technical ideologies. Various educational institutions shared and disseminated their innovative and pioneering views.

Conference was inaugurated by chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Mushahid Husain (Vice Chancellor, M.J.P Rohilkhand University, Bareilly).

During the conference, Professor Mohammad Meftah Alrayes (Libya) enlightened the conference with their technical expertise and stressed on the importance of this National Conference and gave valuable thoughts to young scientists & researchers about new & upcoming technologies.

And our other guests present in the conference, exchanged their ideas on latest developments in the field of computer science and information technology. Finally the organizing secretary of the conference, Prof. Saoud Sarwar said that he will continue to organize these kinds of conferences and seminars to provide common forum for technical advancements.

NCAVEC – 2014 

Conference on “Advancement in VLSI, Embedded System and communication” NCAVEC – 2014 organized by ECE Department, ALFALAH UNIVERSITY has been completed successfully on 21st August 2014. Chief guest Mr. V.P. Sandlas, Former chief controller & distinguished scientist, DRDO has given a very innovative lecture on current trends in satellite communication and its scope in global and national perspective. He elaborated on its usage in defense application with particular reference to US Army Prof. Moinuddin, Former PVC, DTU has discussed the adverse effects of microwave radiations on human life. His presentation included the roles and responsibilities of Government, customer and service providers in the communication field to minimize its adverse effects on human life. Prof. Munna Khan, Jamia Millia Islamia University has presented the automation and application of embedded systems in biomedical field. A total of 70 research papers have been selected and presented in the conference. More than 100 participants from academic, industrial and research organization have participated & 10 research papers have specially been chosen from IIT Delhi for publication. About 20 papers by our own M Tech students have also been presented in the conference. Secretary Col. O.P. Malik, HOD ECE Deptt , Conveners Mr. Mohd Tauheed Khan , Mr. Ravinder Kumar & other organizing committee members have put in sustained hard work for meticulous planning & smooth conduct of conference. The conference has been beneficial to all concerned in many aspects. Research students have been the major beneficiary, while it turned out to be a good training event for all students. In future we intend to have more expert lectures from high dignitaries in specialized fields to encourage and motivate our faculty members and students.

ICAME-2014

A two day International Conference on Advancements in Mechanical Engineering (ICAME-2014) was held in Al-Falah University. The conference is an annual feature of the university and the advancements related with the field of Mechanical Engineering were discussed extensively in the conference.

The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Moinuddin (Ex-PVC, Delhi Technological University) on 7th August at 10:00 AM. The delegates were welcomed by Prof. Anil Kumar (VC, Al-Falah University). He discussed the role of Al-Falah University for the backward areas of Haryana.

In his inaugural speech, Prof. Moinuddin stressed the lack of skilled labor in the region. He suggested the university to play a pivotal role in skill development in this backward region of Haryana. The convener Prof. Mohd Parvez gave vote of thanks to all delegates.

Prof. Abdul Khaliq from Saudi Arabia, Prof. B. V. Reddy from Canada, Prof. Affan Badar from USA, Dr. K. A. Subramaniam from IIT, Prof. Arif Suhail from AMU, Dr Anil Kumar and Dr. Harish Kumar from NPL delivered invited lectures. They covered various areas of mechanical engineering and emphasized the importance of seminars for the improvement of the research and product development.

More than 150 participants from around the globe participated in the conference and presented technical papers related to the field of mechanical engineering.

The valedictory function was chaired by Prof. Affan Badar from USA. He distributed certificates and mementoes to the participants.

The seminar emphasized the role of skill development as national policy. It also stressed on the curriculum development with industry specific needs.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Al-Falah University (AFU), has organized 2nd International Conference on “Emerging Trends in Computer Science & Information Technology” on 17th April, 2014 under the guidance of Conference Chair, Prof. Anil Kumar (Vice Chancellor, Al-Falah University) & Organizing secretary, Prof. Saoud Sarwar.

The Aim of the conference was to provide an opportunity to the international community to exchange ideas and provide a common platform to discuss latest developments in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology.

The Conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mohammad Wazir Ansari (I.P.S.), ADG/Secretary, Maulana Azad Foundation, Govt. of India

During the Conference, Keynote speaker Dr. Girish Sharma enlightened young Scientists & Researchers with his valuable thoughts and ideas on new and upcoming technologies. Professional Engineers, Scientist and Academics engaged in research were inspired and motivate by his talk.

Conference was conducted throughvarious technical/parallel sessions. A separate poster presentation session was also organized, in which more than 100 poster papers were presented by various researchers and delegates. The best Research papers and the best Poster papers was chosen and awarded prizes.
